Jill Jackson, 7th-12th grade Mathematics Teacher
I graduated Volunteer High School with honors in 1990. I was a member of National Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, Future Business Leaders of America, Captain of the Color Guard, and President of Prom Committee. I graduated from East TN State University in 1994 with a Bachelors of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.
After graduation I served several years in the banking industry. During that time I met and married Patrick Jackson in 1998 and we welcomed our first and only child, Kelly McKenzie Jackson, in August of 2001. It was during Kelly’s educational journey that I saw the need and felt the Lord leading me to the needs of child education.
I am currently a 14 yr servant as a Sunday School teacher at Lighthouse Church. I became a substitute teacher for the Hawkins Co. district and was trained to teach K-12 in 2009. I received individualized training and am qualified as a Special Education Aide and/or Substitute Classroom Educator.
After 8 1/2 years in the public school system, I saw the need for assistance in area of mathematics at LCS, and was offered the opportunity to serve as their Mathematics Educating Specialist. I just finished a year and a half at LCS and am looking forward to the upcoming 2019/20 school year.
