Faculty & Staff
Below you will find information about all current staff members at LCS. Our staff has been chosen by qualification, ability, and love for helping students reach their fullest potential academically.
David has been the School Administrator since 2008. His desire for LCS is to see it grow and to carry out our founder, Bishop Peters dream to provide a place where parents can allow their children to receive a Christian based education.
David is a big supporter of our youth athletics and you can find him running the clock at all the home basketball games during the season.
David believes strongly in the success of LCS as both of their children are LCS Alumni and work daily to improve the lives of the students, parents, and staff members.
Donna has been the Secretary for LCS since 1997. She is very dedicated to LCS and has a passion for serving the students and teachers. She works to ensure the school runs properly, the students and teachers have all the necessary supplies.
Donna helps keep parents informed and up to date with current events via the "Knightly News” weekly newsletter she publishes or student-lead "Knight Rider” Newspaper, which she oversees. Donna is the heart and soul of our school.
9th-12th Grade Monitor
Meagan is an LCS alumni who graduated with honors in 2003. She is married with 3 children currently attending our school. Meagan has a degree in Sociology from Walter’s State and works for the Media Team at Lighthouse Church.
She has been our Kindergarten Teacher and Elementary Teacher and taught a Middle School Reading Class. She began teaching high school 4 years ago and specializes in Science and Social Studies. She also teaches Literature to 9th-12th grade and encourages critical thinking in preparation for the ACT exams.
Meagan is the head coach of the JV girls’ volleyball team and the assistant coach for the Varsity girls’ volleyball team. Meagan works to ensure the high school students will be prepared for college and life after Graduation.
6th-8th Grade Monitor
Susie has been a teacher at LCS for over 15 years. She is married with three children who are LCS alumni and has 5 grandchildren who attend LCS. Teaching is her passion and it shows in the improvement children make during the first few weeks of having her as their teacher. She works tirelessly to ensure each child has their educational needs met.
At Lighthouse Church, she has been a Sunday School Teacher, assisted with Vacation Bible School, and kept nursery.
We are very thankful to have Susie on staff. She has taught all ages from Kindergarten through 8th grade but has recently called our Middle School Class home. Susie places an emphasis on reading, geography, and the importance of volunteering throughout the year by expanding the curriculum to enrich the student’s learning environment.
2nd-5th Grade Monitor
Nicole has two children who attend LCS and has worked as the 2nd-5th grade monitor for two years. She brings a rich portfolio of experience from her years homeschooling her own children. Nicole volunteers at church and is a wonderful woman with a Godly heart.
Nicole helps students transition from the Little Level to a more traditional classroom setting and helps prepare them for middle school. Her students learn to do science projects, book reports, and essays on their level to make this a fun and rewarding elementary school experience!
Nicole focuses on balancing PACE work with hands-on learning projects and play for an overall enriched curriculum program.
Kindergarten- 1st Grade Monitor
Pam has experience teaching all ages from Kindergarten through 5th grade but has found her passion in the LCS Little’s Class. Pam has long been a part of the LCS family since she, her husband, and her children are all LCS alumni!
At Lighthouse Church, Pam’s husband Bryan heads up the security team, and Pam assists where needed. They love working with children and have a desire to keep our school children safe. Pam has also helped throughout the years with Vacation Bible School and Sunday School.
Pam specializes in hands-on activities for the students, including arts and crafts, music, and fun play days to ensure her students are instilled with a love of learning!
7th-12th grade English Teacher
Betty has over 10 years of experience with Lighthouse Christian School working with children of all ages. Her children are alumni of LCS and she enjoys helping the next generation prepare for life after high school.
Betty exclusively teaches English for our middle and high school students and is dedicated to helping them succeed in essay writing, sentence diagramming, parts of speech, and critical thinking. These are important skills students need to master for the ACT and college entrance exams.
Her experience and skill make her a trusted member of our staff and we are thankful to have her!
7th-12th grade Mathematics Teacher
Jill graduated from Volunteer High School with honors in 1990. She was a member of the National Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, Future Business Leaders of America, Captain of the Color Guard, and President of Prom Committee. Jill graduated from East TN State University in 1994 with a Bachelors of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.
After graduation she served several years in the banking industry. During that time, she met and married Patrick Jackson in 1998 and they welcomed their first and only child, Kelly, in August of 2001. It was during Kelly’s educational journey that I saw the need and felt the Lord leading me to the needs of child education.
Jill is currently a 14 yr servant as a Sunday School teacher at Lighthouse Church. She became a substitute teacher for the Hawkins Co. district and was trained to teach K-12 in 2009. Jill received individualized training and am qualified as a Special Education Aide and/or Substitute Classroom Educator.
After 8 1/2 years in the public-school system, Jill saw the need for assistance in the area of mathematics at LCS and was offered the opportunity to serve as their Mathematics Educating Specialist. Jill has been with LCS for almost three years.
Tim Bryant joined Lighthouse Christian School as our full-time security guard in 2018. Tim is a highly qualified veteran with many years of service and training in our military and police forces. Tim served 3 years in the Army special operations group, 7 years as a police officer. He has served in the Armed Guard in Virginia, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Tim has over 300 hours in police service training and over 100 hours in armed guard service training.
He dedicated the school days to make sure each student at Lighthouse Christian School is always safe and protected.
Tim says, “I love being at the school for the kids. It's like they're my grandkids and I love each and every one of them.”
